Life
is not as simple as before. The advance in technology, pressure
from work, financial burden, teenage misbehaviors, medical illness,
difficulties, and aging could cause significant stress on us. For
immigrants, the cultural differences, language barriers, adjustment
difficulties, and generation gaps have adverse effects on their
mental health. Many people may develop stress-related somatic complaints
such as headaches, irritable bowel movement, stomachache, insomnia,
fatigue, and poor appetite. Others may develop depression and anxiety
disorders such as panic attacks, mood swing, nervousness, death
wish, low motivation, loss of interest, difficulty making decisions,
poor concentration, and obsessive compulsive behaviors such as frequent
cleaning, nail biting, etc. Still others would become self-destructive
or violence such as anorexia, suicide attempt, gambling, drinking,
drug abuse, violence, stealing, and spouse abuse.
To
prevent and treat these psychological problems usually require professional
help. We are a group of qualified, experienced, and dedicated mental
health professionals who are committed to promote better mental
health and quality of life.
We
accept Medicare and most private insurance. HMO patients do not
need family doctor's referral.
